Baked tuna packages: a tasty recipe with canned tuna!
Ingredients for 20 tuna puff pastry packages:1 box of puff pastry (10 small sheets – 12 x 12 cm)
- 1 tin of Deepblue tuna in brine (185g), drained
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, pressed or chopped
- ½ red bell pepper, in small dices
- Small hand of green pitted olives, sliced in rings
- Freshly chopped flat parsley
- Salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
Sweat the onion and garlic in a little olive oil. Add the bell pepper and season with salt and pepper, parsley and paprika powder. Mix with the olive rings and tuna and let it cool off.
Defrost the puff pastry sheets and slice them in half to make two long rectangles. Make a few diagonal slices in one half of the rectangles. Put a spoon of mixture on the other half of pastry. Fold the sliced half over the filling and press the edges with your fingers or a fork.
Put the packages on a baking tray covered with baking paper and brush them with beaten egg yolk. Bake them for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 220° (hot air oven at 200°) until they are golden brown and cooked.
